Technology

The district's approach to technology is that applications of new technology need to be guided by curriculum requirements as well as student needs. Each elementary school has a computer lab staffed with a full-time tech person who has a high level of proficiency in technology who guides students in applications that support the classroom curriculum.

As they progress through the elementary years, children learn how to problem-solve, how to use Microsoft Word and Power Point, incorporate the use of graphics into their presentations, and work through coding applications to become proficient in the use of technology and how it enhances learning.
