Meet Mrs. Miller
My name is Amy Miller and I am a 1999 Upper St. Clair graduate. I can not tell you how excited I am to be back and counseling in Upper St. Clair! As your school counselor, I work to meet the academic, career, and personal/social needs of ALL students.
I am very excited to be the school counselor at the elementary school I went to many years ago. My education and opportunities in Upper St. Clair School District gave me the foundation and skills necessary to explore the world and gain a wide variety of unique experiences that have prepared me fully for this position.
I’m returning to Eisenhower Elementary after having lived in the woods of Dilwyn, Virginia (for two winters!) with at-risk youth, as a Group Leader at New Dominion Girls School. I gained classroom experience teaching English to kindergarten and first grade in Sokcho, South Korea and working as a Mental Health Specialist at Pressley Ridge Day School, a partial hospital program, here in Pittsburgh.
After graduating from Carlow University’s Professional Counseling program on the School Counseling track, I went on to become a Student Assistant Program Liaison, working in five different school districts, running small groups and connecting students and their families with resources available in Allegheny County.
The opportunity to serve the children and families of Upper St. Clair School District is truly my dream job! Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns regarding your child.
